Draft. This page describes how CoparentAI is built to work. The binding text will be published after legal review, before CoparentAI opens to the public.

Private by default

Today, your Family Assistant chats (in the app, by email and by text), the Children pages, Reports and your account are visible only to you. They are never included in reports, certified records or subpoena responses. Your journal is included only if you turn on “Include my journal in reports and court records”.

What you share

The calendar, messages, tasks, expenses, calls and Family Info are shared with the other parent in your family. Helpers you invite see only what you allow. Professionals see only what a parent approved them to see, and never a parent’s private pages.

Records and subpoenas

  • A certified records affidavit covers only what the requesting parent can already see.
  • A subpoena is needed for anything else. We review each one before producing anything, and we tell the account holder unless the law prohibits it.
  • Neither route ever produces private pages, assistant chats, notes or the Children page.

The Family Assistant

The assistant uses an AI model to read what you send it. It acts only for you, cannot send anything to another person without your explicit OK, and never puts sensitive details in a text message body. It can make mistakes, so it shows you what it understood and where it came from.
